The Hebrew Herald aims at spreading interest in and raising awareness of Jewish heraldry & genealogy.

Identity in today’s world is a matter of some concern to many. Globalization and internet connectivity make personal identity a sometimes difficult thing to grasp and come to terms with, and the same goes for families and communities. Heraldry provides an interesting counterweight for this issue. This medieval instrument of identification is having a somewhat surprising renaissance in recent decades, perhaps for the above reason.

Personally, I have always been interested in those small, sometimes tiny, yet elaborate symbols found on covers & wraps of products, in paintings, on maps & buildings etc. The interest in stories of family history and excitement of discovering another piece of information, were a somewhat later development. I would be happy to assist you in developing your very own family history and/or family armorial insignia.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in History & Political Science from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and a course certificate in Genealogy from University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland.
